Often it is difficult to identify artifacts produced on clinical and phantom images.The use of a full-field phantom allows the production of a grey film which demonstrates artifacts caused by the mammographic system (grids/lines) or the film processor.
The Artifact Identification Phantom is a useful adjunct to very mammography quality control program.
